Born in 1980 and started school at 1984, I studied high-level English during my early years until secondary school at a deep-rooted language school in my city (E.B.S/Alexandria). During my engineering college years, I was first introduced to HTML. After graduation in 2002, I worked for 15 years as an Engineer where I learned problem-solving (debugging), logic thinking and working under pressure before I decided to do a late-but-never-too-late career shift.

I lacked some luck setting my career path. My first choice after graduating from Secondary School was College of Arts, but I couldn’t make it. After enrolling to Engineering College, my first choice after finishing the preliminary year was Computer Department, but I also couldn’t make it to join Communications & Electronics Department. I learned a hell lot there, but never quit loving graphics and visuals. I designed lots of printables to family, friends and even neighbors during these years.
During college time, I traveled to the US in summer vacations for 4 whole summers. Gained a whole lot of experience then communicating with different people and cultures. Faced customers directly and learned working under pressure at this early stage of life. Gained unforgettable confidence, communication skills, basis of business management, and a real life language.

Internet Era..Time for a crucial change
I fell in love with the world of Computers since I owned my first 40MB hard drive PC in 1993 (at the age of 13), mastered MS-DOS in 1996 and since I firstly subscribed to the Internet in 1997 at the same month it was introduced in my country, which is classified a ‘Pioneer’ (It costs a hell lot of money at that time, YES!).
During my 15 years of work as a Network Engineer, I studied a lot about graphic design. Finished a professional training in an Advertising Agency, then started some voluntary projects. I also got paid for some projects to design book covers and logo designs.
I also witnessed the evolution of search engines, since AOL and msn, through Yahoo! and bing, and ending up with the Google search giant.
In 2017, and as the digital business became more crucial and Internet jobs became the highest in demand, I decided a late-but-never-too-late full career shift to the world of UI design and Web Development.
Late 2017, I started self-studying HTML / CSS / Javascript / jQuery / WordPress for 1 whole year from Arabic/English sources before I published my first project, which was a modern, error-free imitation to the famous pâtisserie in my country ‘La Poire’ website as a starting project that witnesses my readiness to conquer the world of freelancing to start real-world projects.
Early 2019, I studied 3 advanced courses in Javascript with ES6 update (udemy), then I started to study React.js (udemy) which I am currently stick to.
Start of 2020, I got my first part-time job as a Front-End Web Developer. Mid 2020, In the beginning of 2021, I started studying Reactjs. A month later, I started creating React apps as a part-timer.
I am a software geek. I loved software and lived inside its world since 1993, always looked for the software part in my job as an engineer, and never stopped googling (was Yahoo! and Bing search at early times) and never stopped self learning ever since.
I am neat as a pin. During my life, people called me ‘nerd’, ‘picky’, ‘pixel-perfect’, ‘perfectionism synonym holder’, but obviously this comes at the cost of time!
